| The Foundation,
inaugurated in September
2005, was set up for the sole purpose of raising funds in order to award
grants in support of the aerobatics training scholarship scheme being
run by the BAeF, and to provide some financial
support for members of the British Teams in their preparation for and
participation in European and World aerobatic championships. |

| The BAeF has one clear vision - to see a British pilot
amongst the top three individual medal winners at European or World
Championships from the year 2010. Our view is that, whilst not
impossible, this is unlikely to happen by chance and therefore needs a
strategic plan. |

| To stand a chance of bringing this aim to fruition we
must select pilots who are already showing outstanding aeroplane
handling skills in their flying thus far, and then facilitate an
intensive and well structured aerobatic flying training programme for
them under the expert guidance of the UK's top aerobatic instructors,
augmented by visiting European and World masters at organized training
camps. |
